SUMMARY:Otte Academy Pilot Learning Series: Hands-On Nutrition Workshop
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column] \n \n \n \n INTRODUCTION\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This workshop is part of Otte’s pilot learning initiative to broaden its adult education and workplace capability programmes beyond technical engineering training. Through this pilot series, Otte is building an Associate Educator panel and exploring practical, evidence-informed courses in wellbeing, resilience, leadership, communication, and workplace effectiveness. \n\n \n \n \n While Otte Group remains focused on engineering software, technical training, and built environment capability development, Otte Academy will serve as our dedicated learning platform for future adult education and WSQ-aligned programmes. \n\n \n \n \n Stress is increasingly affecting educators, parents, and working professionals. Research shows that nutrition plays a direct role in how we think, feel, and respond to stress through the Mind–Gut–Cortisol connection. \n\n \n \n \n Diets rich in whole, gut-supportive foods are associated with improved emotional regulation, steadier energy, sharper focus, and greater resilience. Understanding how nutrition influences cortisol equips individuals with practical strategies to remain calm, focused, and effective in demanding environments. \n\n \n \n \n This 7-hour workshop, with hands-on meal preparation and practical activities, translates current science into simple, practical, and sustainable nutrition strategies to support mental wellbeing at work and at home. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n WHO SHOULD ATTEND\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n • Teachers, school leaders, and educational therapists\n• Parents and caregivers seeking practical strategies to support emotional well-being\n• Corporate professionals looking to improve focus, energy, and stress resilience\n• Individuals interested in holistic wellbeing who want to improve focus, energy, and stress resilience \n\n \n \n \n \n \n 7-HOUR WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: \n\n \n \n \n • Understand the relationship between nutrition, gut health, and cortisol regulation\n• Identify dietary habits that may contribute to stress, fatigue, and mood imbalance\n• Apply simple, evidence-based nutrition strategies to improve energy, focus, and emotional resilience\n• Make informed food choices to support a healthy mind–gut balance\n• Prepare simple, nutrient-dense meals for everyday stress management \n\n \n \n \n \n \n WORKSHOP OUTLINE\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Understanding Stress & Cortisol \n\n \n \n \n \n\nWhat is cortisol and why it matters\nSigns of high and low cortisol\nImpact of chronic stress on the body and mind\n\n \n\n \n \n \n The Mind–Gut–Cortisol Connection \n\n \n \n \n \n\nUnderstanding the gut-brain axis\nHow gut health influences mood and mental clarity\nThe role of nutrition in emotional regulation\n\n \n\n \n \n \n Nutrition for Stress Management \n\n \n \n \n \n\nUnderstand stress-driven food cravings and habits\nLearn natural ways to break the chronic stress cycle\nFood that supports cortisol balance, calmness, and steady energy\n\n \n\n \n \n \n Practical Food Strategies \n\n \n \n \n \n\nSimple daily nutrition habits for busy lifestyles\nMeal planning for energy and emotional stability\nIntegrating nutrition into real-life routines\n\n \n\n \n \n \n Applied Culinary Activity: Gut-Friendly Meal Preparation \n\n \n \n \n \n\nGuided preparation of a gut-friendly meal\nUnderstanding ingredient and cookware selection\nApplying concepts through experiential learning\n\n \n\n \n \n \n Practical Lifestyle Strategies \n\n \n \n \n \n\nHolistic approaches to stress management\nLifestyle strategies for long-term wellbeing\n\n \n\n \n [/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]\n \n \n \n NOTES\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Course Contact Details: +65 6684 2268 ext: 103\n \n\n \n [/vc_column][/vc_row]\n
