COURSE OBJECTIVE
This advanced-level course develops competencies in 3D finite element analysis and design of building structures. Participants will apply linear and nonlinear, static and dynamic analysis methods to evaluate structural behavior and support detailed building design. ETABS will be used as the computational analysis tool for practical modelling, analysis and interpretation exercises. The course also provides an overview of modelling considerations for Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) systems and the application of seismic loading requirements in accordance with Eurocode 8 (EC8).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to use advanced ETABS features to develop accurate structural models, perform linear, nonlinear, static, dynamic, and seismic analyses, apply finite element and PPVC modelling techniques, and evaluate building performance using industry best practices and Eurocode 8 (EC8) requirements.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Practicing structural engineers involved in the analysis and design of reinforced concrete building structures subjected to gravity, lateral and seismic load effects, particularly those working with Eurocode-based design requirements.

PREREQUISITE

Participants are required to have completed S110E: Intermediate Building Structures Analysis & Design with 3D FEM, or to possess equivalent knowledge and practical experience in 3D structural modelling, analysis and design.

  • Due to limited seats, registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Training seats will be confirmed upon receipt of payment.
  • Cancellation of registration notice must be made in writing if you are unable to attend. Course fees refund as follows:
    • Notice received 14 days prior to course date – 90% refund.
    • Notice received 7 days prior to course date – 75% refund.
    • Cancellation will not be accepted if notice is received less than 7 days before the event; but a substitute delegate is welcomed at no extra charge.

NOTES

  • Early-bird fees only valid for registrations received by 31 July 2026.
  • 20% discount for registration of a group of 3 and above. This 20% discount is not applicable to Early-bird registration.
  • Participants are required to bring their own laptops with support for WiFi connection and Windows System.
