S110E: Intermediate Building Structures Analysis & Design with 3D FEM (Singapore)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course develops intermediate competencies in building structural analysis and design using 3D finite element modelling. Learners model realistic building systems, evaluate structural behaviour and secondary effects, interpret analysis results, and perform Eurocode 2–compliant reinforced concrete design using ETABS as a supporting tool.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, learners will be able to formulate and validate 3D finite element building models, implement realistic modelling assumptions, assess second-order and construction sequence effects, interpret global structural response, and perform Eurocode 2–compliant RC analysis and design.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Practicing structural engineers involved in the analysis and design of reinforced concrete building structures, for gravity and lateral loads effect with reference to Eurocode.
