Seminar- Optimizing Steel Frame Design and Detailed RC Elements Check with Advanced Numerical Analysis Software
This seminar will cover advanced steel frame analysis and design using the Direct Analysis Method (DAM) and semi-rigid joint connections. It will highlight the advantages and necessity of DAM over the traditional Effective Length Method for steel frame design. Additionally, it will explore how joint fixity influences steel frame design and the validation of joint connection models through detailed stiffness calculations.
The seminar will also provide a comprehensive overview of modeling and design with semi-rigid connections using two state-of-the-art software programs: IDEA StatiCa and CSi SAP2000/ETABS.
Furthermore, the seminar will include an overview of FEA and the design of RC building structure elements with global FEA software, demonstrating how to validate the resulting design (rebar provision and detailing) with advanced 2D/3D FEA tools using advanced Methods Compatible with Stress Field Method (CSFM) that includes rebars in the numerical model
